Jerry's
Jukebox

| Here is Jerry's 1946 Mills Constellation
jukebox. It plays 20
of the 78 rpm records the precursor to the 45 rpm with the big hole. 78's were 10" in diameter and held one song on each side. They were made till 1959, 45 rpm's came out in the late 40's, as did the LP. He stripped the Mills down to it's aluminum shell (Made by Bell Helicopter) and repainted/refurbished all of the components. He has several hundred 78's ranging from old rock to big band, country, pop and blues. |
The Seeburg M-100C model was the
only one Seeburg made with rotating color cylinders on the corners. It
is the second model they made for 45's, it is from 1952. It holds
50 45's and you can play both sides, hence the 100 in it's name. They made
some that held 100 45's. Jerry restored this, stripping the layers of blue
metalflake paint and applying cherry veneer. All worn items were replaced
or refurbished.
It plays like new. |
